Education

Another goal of the Best Practice in Surgery is to provide education to all of our residents so they can undertake or participate in quality initiatives. Dr. Najib Safieddine created a course for residents to not only learn about quality improvement in healthcare, but also to have an opportunity to develop a QI project with assistance from a mentor. For more information on this, click on the resident education tab.

In addition to this, it important for staff surgeons and other healthcare professionals to be educated on Quality Improvement and Knowledge Translation strategies and methods. While the Best Practice in Surgery does not provide courses on these topics, the University of Toronto as well as other recognized institutions do. Thus, if you are interested in learning more about QI and KT strategies and methodologies, please click the courses and certificates tab to find a course that may be of interest to you.
